Welcome to Reed Elementary School!
As I begin my 26th year as an educator, I speak from experience when I say that Reed Elementary School truly is a special place to be. We are proud to be a school devoted to young learners; creating an educational experience that honors their unique developmental needs, strengths, and learning styles. It is a genuine privilege and joy to serve as principal of this wonderful school community.
Our staff is a team of dedicated and talented educators who bring deep expertise in early childhood learning, development, and instruction. They are committed to meeting children where they are and creating meaningful learning experiences that support the whole child. Our students’ enthusiasm, curiosity, creativity, and sense of wonder inspire the decisions we make each day about teaching, learning, and our school programs.
At Reed Elementary School, we place a strong emphasis on The Four C’s: Communication, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Collaboration. These skills empower students to become confident learners, thoughtful problem-solvers, and engaged members of their community.
The year ahead is filled with possibility and promise. Together, we will continue to nurture joyful learning, academic growth, belonging, and inclusive practices that recognize and celebrate the unique gifts each child brings to our community. I believe in creating a school where children feel safe to take risks, ask questions, make mistakes, and discover their strengths; where families are welcomed as valued partners; and where educators feel supported, inspired, and encouraged to continue growing in their practice.
These are the foundations of a thriving school community, and I am grateful to be building them together with our students, families, and staff.
