PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Friends and Family of Reed School,
Thank you to all of the kindergarten parents who have been coming in for their child's Kindergarten Parent/Teacher Conference. The kindergarten Progress Reports are given out at these conferences, while the 1st & 2nd grade Progress Reports will be sent home March 5th.
World Maths Day - Wednesday, March 3rd: The object of World Maths Day is to see how many correct math problems children of the world can solve in one calendar day. Because of time zones, one day actually lasts 48 hours. They will play in real time with students from all over the world. Children see the names of the children they are competing against and the flag of their country. Each game lasts 60 seconds and they can play as much as they want. http://www.worldmathsday.com/2010/
Upcoming Kindergarten Registration—Help Us Spread The Word! It is absolutely imperative for staffing needs that we register all incoming kindergarten and 1st and 2nd grade transfer students on March 23rd & 24th, here at Reed's MPR. That way we can plan accurately for next year, invite all our incoming students to our Sneak Peek and have balanced classes! Please help us spread the word.
The Field WILL open March 1st . . . or as soon as the rain stops! This week all grades will attend an assembly on Field Rules, procedures and "please remembers" plus some gentle reminders about the regular School Rules. The excitement and anticipation have been high. We're good to go as soon as the grass is dry enough to use!
