eScrip is the program in which participating merchants donate a percentage of your purchases to The Foundation for Reed Schools. So imagine, you go to the grocery store and a percentage of your purchases go to The Foundation. You get your car washed, you buy some plants for your garden or you purchase new soccer cleats for your child and a portion of your purchase goes to The Foundation. You don’t pay anything more, you simply register your cards (all of your credit, debit and Safeway Club Cards) with eScrip and they take care of the rest. It’s an easy way to contribute to your child’s education.
What is eScrip? eScrip is a fundraising program that’s fast, easy, and free! Each family that registers its grocery, credit and debit cards at www.escrip.com earns money for our children’s education with every purchase at participating merchants. In 2009, The Foundation for Reed Schools made over $33,000 from eScrip. Where Does the Money Come From? Grocery Shopping! Over 90% of eScrip money received by The Foundation for Reed Schools comes from your grocery shopping at Safeway and Paradise Foods. Paradise Foods donates 4% of every dollar you spend with them over $200 in a given month. Safeway donates almost 1% of every dollar you spend with them. - Click on “Group Name” and enter The Foundation for Reed Schools OR click on
“Group ID” and enter 136925959
- Click on “The Foundation for Reed Schools” then click “Next”
- Register your Safeway Club Card, Credit and Debit Cards.
- Please call 1-877-SAFEWAY if you need your Safeway Club Card number (it is not the phone number you enter at check-out).
Already Registered? Update your Credit, Debit and Safeway Club Cards: Updating your Credit and Debit Cards: - Click on “Member/Supporters” and provide the requested indentifying information
- Click on “my eScrip” located near the top of the front page
- Enter login information OR click on “Forgot your password?” if you do not have your
- login info. (Your username/supporter ID # and password will be emailed to the email address listed on your account in 2 separate emails. Please be sure to check your inbox and any junk/bulk mail folders for the 2 emails).
- Once you are in your account, you may verify and update your information.
Renewing your Safeway Club Card: If you are a first time visitor to the eScrip website, click the red check renewal icon: “Yes! Renew your commitment to Safeway Stores today!” You will be prompted to enter your Safeway loyalty card number, phone number (if it is on your eScrip account), supporter ID or email address (if it is on your eScrip account) to complete your renewal. If you are a returning visitor to the eScrip website and are welcomed by name, click the red check mark renewal icon on the homepage.
What about the security of my credit cards?
eScrip will not sell or license any information about participants. It’s no different than purchasing from a catalog or placing an order using the telephone. If you don’t feel comfortable registering your credit cards, we suggest that you register your Safeway Club card. For example, if you spend $500 a month on groceries at Safeway using eScrip, you will generate $180 a year for our district.
